Getting a new pair of glasses can be exciting, but it can also be a little bit intimidating, especially if you haven’t had new glasses for a while or if you have had a big change in your prescription. Don't worry though, everyone adjusts differently!
To make the transition a bit smoother, we suggest wearing your new glasses at home first. Doing simple tasks like watching TV or reading a magazine in familiar surroundings can help you feel more comfortable with your new eyewear.
It's important though not to constantly switch back and forth between your old and new glasses, as this can make it harder for your eyes to adjust. Instead, try starting your day with your new glasses and give yourself time to get used to them.
As you get used to your new glasses, you may notice that you need to move your head and eyes more when looking sideways or using stairs. Don't worry, this is normal! It just takes a bit of practice to get used to.
If you have any questions or are worried about your new glasses, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at Outlook Eye Centre. We're always so happy to offer advice and check the adjustment. We want you to feel confident and comfortable in your new glasses.
