Outlook Eye Centre Optometrist is approved health fund suppliers for all health funds and has on-site automated claiming facilities through HICAPS. We can electronically process your claim in our practice to make it even easier for you to get the maximum value from your health fund membership. If you have extras cover, we are able to claim for optical glasses, prescription sunglasses and contact lenses and you will only have to pay the gap amount.

Don’t forget to bring your health fund card to your appointment.

Know?

A member of a private Health Fund with the Optical entitles you and each of your family members to claim the following every year:

  • A pair of Optical Glasses
  • Prescription Sunglasses and/or Contact Lenses
  • Or a combination of glasses and contact lenses

However, please be noted that if you fail to use your entitlement for the given year, it does not carry over to the next year. Most Health Fund benefits run on a calendar year so each year on January 1st – you are able to claim again. There are a small number of Health Funds that run on the financial year.
